Classic college dropout!
Instruments:
I am a guitarist who has a wide interest in anything with strings on it. Before joining the Bleeding Fingers Music team as a composer, I was often asked to record a lot of guitars and other ethnic instruments for the team. I also know my way around the piano and am very happy when I can bang on some drums from time to time.
Musical Influences:
Everything I have ever heard.
Thom Lukas is an Austrian composer and multi-instrumentalist with a background in both film scoring and record production.
Most recently, Thom worked as a composer on the feature-length documentary The Bubble, which aired in primetime across Europe and garnered millions of views following its distribution by VICE Media. His other credits also include additional music for NBC/BBC’s The Americas (NBC/BBC), the 250th anniversary commercial for the U.S. Marine Corps, and original compositions for Minecraft, spanning promotional trailers and downloadable content releases. Prior to joining the Bleeding Fingers team, Thom built a successful career as a composer and producer, contributing to multiple gold- and platinum-certified records.
Having received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, Thom studied under legendary guitarist Mick Goodrick, further developing his compositional voice and technical range. Born into a musical family in Carinthia, Austria, Thom began his journey with piano before falling in love with the guitar—an instrument that remains central to his sound today.
