I believe that music is part of our DNA and can move us within the full spectrum of human emotion. It is God-given. Music is powerful and helps tell a story, our story and can paint vivid pictures inside of our imaginations.
I studied music composition at Dana School of Music and have composed various works for planetarium theaters, documentaries. While I have influences from modern film composers, my style has been crafted from study of early 20th century and classical composers such as, Aaron Copland, Antonin Dvorak and Edvard Greig to name a few.
I hold on to some wisdom that a longtime friend and genius composer, who has since passed away, gave me years ago. It is simple and elegant - be the best version of yourself you can be. Don't approach a composition with the idea to be the next John Williams, it won't be authentic. Just be yourself and see what happens.
