Ho-Ling Tang is a composer with a foundation rooted in both classical performance and contemporary film scoring. Bringing a distinctive melodic sensibility and cross-cultural perspective to her work—Ho-Ling’s technique is shaped by a childhood in Hong Kong and rigorous training across two continents.
Her work at Bleeding Fingers Music includes composing on Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix. Prior to joining the composer collective, she wrote the music for the nature docuseries Our Oceans (Netflix), with additional credits including Gladiator 2 (Paramount), Polar Bear (Disney), The Gilded Age (HBO Max), House of Gucci (United Artists/Universal Pictures), Return to Space (Netflix), The Last Duel (20th Century) and Infinite (Paramount Pictures).
Having studied piano performance before making the deliberate pivot to composition, Ho-Ling was drawn by the expressive possibilities of scoring for picture. She went on to specialize in film scoring at Berklee College of Music's Valencia campus, before relocating to Los Angeles to begin her career in Hollywood. She has collaborated with some of the industry's leading composers, including five years as a musical assistant to Harry Gregson-Williams, before joining Bleeding Fingers as an in-house composer.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Ho-Ling earned her degree in Music Composition, and continued her professional training under the direct mentorship of Harry Gregson-Williams.
