Biography
Jordan Lewis is a media composer and multi-instrumentalist. Originally from New England, Jordan has lived, worked, and travelled all around the world, taking his artistic passions with him. After completing his undergraduate work, Jordan spent several years abroad in New Zealand, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. These experiences continue to inform his voice as a composer.

Jordan currently resides in Los Angeles and is busy pursuing his own creative endeavors with 5k Music Inc. as well as collaborating with such composers as Tyler Bates, Didier Lean Rachou, Anton Sanko, and David Robbins. Jordan’s work as a composer, orchestrator, sound designer, session player, and mixer can be heard on HBO, ABC, Shudder, USA, Discovery, FOX, FX, National Geographic, MTV, YouTube Premium, History, Netflix, PBS, Pivot, and more.

Notable projects in recent years include the all acoustic/americana score Jordan composed for the civil war documentary, "When to Die," and “G Funk” (YouTube Premium), a documentary examining the musical, social, and cultural circumstances which gave birth to a new era of hip-hop. Jordan also composed additional music for the 2015 PBS documentary, “E.O. Wilson: Of Ants and Men,” nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Music & Sound.

Since 2019, Jordan has maintained an on-going working relationship with veteran composer Tyler Bates. This relationship has earned him additional music credits on “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” (Universal), "Stumptown" (ABC), "The Purge" (USA), "Creepshow" (AMC/Shudder), "Day Shift" (Netflix), and the "Guardians of the Galaxy" themed rollercoaster: "Cosmic Rewind" (Marvel/Disney/Epcot).

As an artist/multi-instrumentalist, Jordan has toured, performed, and recorded with various bands and solo artists including Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains), Warren G, David Hasselhoff, Chamberlin, Super Doppler Wars, and The Friendly Males. In 2022 & 2023 Jordan plans to release a series of EP's which collectively highlight his variety of stylistic interests.

When not working on music, Jordan enjoys spending time with his wife and cats and indulging his passions for photography, distance hiking, disk golf, non-fiction, and good tequila. Jordan holds a BA in English and Jazz Piano/Composition from the University of Vermont and an MFA in Film Composition from Columbia College Chicago.
