It was his work with Hasbro and his scores for their animated film revivals of GI JOE, that opened the door which led him to the world of music for film and television.
Hunter scored “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore”. Devoid of any dialogue, the film relied solely on Hunter’s score as the voice of the film. It won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short.
