Giovanni Rios is a Puerto Rican composer and guitarist known for amplifying cinematic storytelling with the rhythmic flavors of his Latin roots, including salsa and jazz.
Having explored sound textures through guitar pedals and his hybrid guitar synth, Giovanni’s knowledge of the instrument helped define his path in projects like Mountain Men (Discovery) and Ghosts of Ruin (Battle Island). He has contributed music to a range of high-profile television productions, including serving as composer for The New Generation (Amazon Prime), BBC’s Julius Caesar: The Making of a Dictator, as well as Colosseum, Theodore Roosevelt and FDR for the History Channel.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Giovanni graduated with honors in Performing Arts (guitar) from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico before moving to Los Angeles, where he studied under renowned guitarist Scott Henderson.
