About Him...
Taiwan-born Acheron Chen is a composer for film, video games, and visual media, with a particular passion for large-scale orchestral writing and genre-blending sound worlds. Rooted in contemporary orchestral techniques, his music often weaves together ethnic colors, electronic textures, and cinematic orchestration to craft epic, fantastical, and adventurous scores. Alongside his work in media composition, Acheron has extensive experience writing contemporary concert music for live orchestra, continuously exploring how diverse musical languages can intersect to enhance storytelling across different forms of media.
During his studies at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, Acheron studied under several accomplished figures in the industry, including Andy Hill, Jack Wall, Alastair King, and Seiji Hotta. His recent work also explores the integration of cultural and acoustic performance traditions into interactive media, including collaborations involving live orchestral recording and Taiwanese ethnic musicians for game soundtracks.
