Helen Noir (she/her) is a London-based soprano, composer, orchestrator & producer. She writes soundtracks for film, fashion and theatre, (most recently co-scoring indie horror The Otherkind, and Microcosm, featuring Glenda Jackson in one of her last films, as well as providing audio post-production to the acclaimed Re-Member Me from Dickie Beau at Hampstead Theatre), working with directors and designers to take music from initial composition through recording, orchestration, production and mixing. She is resident composer and MD for the AIDS Plays Project, performs regularly with cult performance art group Theo Adams Company, and is an operatic session vocalist. Helen's work spans genres from electronic to orchestral and she is also known for her unique live film soundtracks, which included a commission for the BFI's Weimar season in 2019. She was recently appointed a professor of electronic and recorded music, specialsing in film, at Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
