Stamátis started performing live when they were 14 years old, playing piano and singing in a 10-piece jazz band with their parents. They started writing music at an early age and quickly knew they wanted to write film scores and play jazz.
After studying music at the Ionian University in Corfu, Greece, they got accepted into a two-year accelerated vocational Musical Theatre course at The Musical Theatre Academy (The MTA) in London. Since graduating, they’ve been working as a drama/singing teacher, writing music for podcasts and short films, playing and performing in cabarets and sailing around the world working as Musical Supervisor for AIDA Cruises.
They were also a student of legendary jazz teacher and pianist Dr Barry Harris until his passing in 2021.
They’re represented by JBR Creative Management.
Stamátis is non-binary and their pronouns are they/them.
