Ovidiu Aursulesei (Bear)
Sound Engineer / Composer
Aursulesei Ovidiu Audio Portfolio

1. This is a recording of a clean acoustic guitar which was made at a friends house unsing only the most basic of equipment, a very old mic pre-amp with a Shure SM57 Mic. I managed to filter out all of the background noise, as well as the buzzing sound caused by the pre-amp.

2. The first recording I've done in a pro studio environment with one of the bands I had in England. I've had very good gear at my disposal (such as, AKG mics, Focusrite ISA 828 Pre-amps, Pro Tools HD I/O Interface and PMC TB2SA and PMC DB1SA monitors). I've done both the recording and the mixing process.

The Reach - Song 1

3. A comercial break that I've done for a Romanian radio station, Europa FM.

4. Atmos Background I've done for a university project. The background is supposed to represent a sci-fi, Star Wars inspired busy hangar.

About Ovidiu

Ovidiu "Bear" Aursulesei is a Romanian-born sound designer, composer, and live sound engineer who crafts sonic experiences that linger like the final note of a power ballad. With roots in the soaring guitar riffs of '80s and '90s rock and metal, Bear first picked up the guitar and never looked back—letting that passion evolve into a full-fledged devotion to sound in all its forms.

Currently an intermediate-level sound artist with a uniquely expressive touch, Bear has lent his skills to a variety of creative realms: composing immersive audio for Dicesylvania, a storytelling-focused D&D YouTube channel; mixing and engineering live sound for the theater in Piatra Neamț; and supporting major Romanian music festivals as a live sound monitor engineer. His work resonates with a deep attention to detail and a flair for crafting atmospheric soundscapes that tell stories on their own.

Armed with Ableton Live 12, Wwise, Unity, and a working command of C#, Bear is equally comfortable behind the DAW or in the chaos of live performance. He sees sound as a universal force—a sonic manifestation of existence itself—and infuses his creations with the emotional power and complexity of progressive rock.

Whether sculpting the sound of a world for a video game or recording live bands under a haze of stage lights, Bear is chasing one dream: to make people feel something real. And if that something rocks... even better.
