Biography

Jonathan Zuniga is a rising composer for film, television and video games who merges musicality with a love for technology. His work spans narrative storytelling, immersive experiences and interactive media.

Jonathan has composed original music for Chemistry (Dreamscape Immersive), the hit game Arknights (Hypergryph). His additional music credits include Ghosts of Ruin (Battle Island), BBC’s Julius Caesar: The Making of a Dictator and Virdee and Colosseum (History Channel). In 2022, he was awarded first place in the 17th Piano Composition Competition Fidelio for his solo piano work Wanderlust.

Having begun college studying electrical engineering and participating in Air Force ROTC, Jonathan later shifted his focus to composition full-time. He earned his Master of Music in Screen Scoring from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2019, following his Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Northern Colorado in 2018. During his time there, he was honored with the school’s first-ever Student Composer Excellence Award, recognizing his early promise as a composer.
