Alton James
Composer | Post-Production Sound Engineer
Biography

Alton is a versatile composer who has written for films and musicals. Early in his career, he accompanied and directed choirs. Yet, as a keyboardist and tech enthusiast, Alton approaches harmony in ways that blend and blur the lines between genres. With an ardent love for film, TV, games, and musical theater stylings, Alton continues to push the boundaries of acoustic, electronic, and harmonic devices. Most potently, Alton infuses these into his Dolby Atmos immersive audio mixes with sound design, foley, and engineering. Alton’s scores have won best score awards from the Detroit Filmmaker Awards to the Independent Shorts Awards and several nominations from other festivals.
