Often inspired by the nature of his homeland Finland, the music of Elias Mäntylä regularly steps into a more dark and sonically dense space. That's where he feels the most at home. That is to say, walking around in Finland isn't all gloomy and depressing all the time. Now based in Los Angeles, Elias is focused on a career in music editing, while still composing original music for various projects on the side.
Elias completed his B.M in Film Scoring & Classical Guitar Performance at Berklee College of Music
He has worked with many young up and coming film makers from all over the country and has accumulated a fair amount of scoring credits under his name. Some even leading up to award nominations at film festivals. In between projects Elias likes to focus on writing more contemporary guitar pieces.
Elias is confident composing in vast style of genres to fit the mood of the picture, from orchestral to fully electronic scores. Same can be said about his proficiency on the guitar, which translates to new and interesting guitar pieces for both solo and multiple guitars.
