Amie Wren is a British Musical Theatre Writer, specialising in female centric comedies and dramas.
She has worked on three student musicals thus far, and is currently acting as the Composer/Lyricist and Film Scorer for the student short musical, Trojan Horse.
Amie is currently working on Concept Albums of two musicals.
The first, 'The Ninety-Nines' - a stage musical with music by Grady O'Connor, and lyrics and book by Amie Wren.
‘The Ninety-Nines’ follows Victoria Flores, an aeronautical engineering scholar at MIT, who’s struggling to maintain her academic standing as an international student. She discovers The Ninety-Nines, a real-life group of female pilots that was founded in 1929 by Amelia Earhart, our second heroine. ‘The Ninety-Nines’ follows Victoria and Amelia as they battle expectations, social boundaries and adversities to follow their dreams.
The second Concept Album is for 'Trojan Horse' - a student film musical with music and lyrics by Amie Wren.
'Trojan Horse' follows June and Syd, two chronically uncool teenagers in their senior year at high school. June decides that she and Syd should try their luck at joining a frat...in crossdress, as, in her mind, the boys at their school are cool despite their...less than desirable actions. 'Trojan Horse' is an exploration into sexism, frat culture, and just how far Syd will follow June before she recognises June's idea as what it is - ridiculous!
Amie estimates that both of these albums will be ready for release in September, 2026.
