Biography/传
Haoyu (Harry) Chen is a Los Angeles–based composer, music producer, and orchestrator working across film, animation, games, and interactive media. Originally from Sichuan, China, his work combines cinematic storytelling with Eastern and Western musical influences.
Harry has contributed to a lot of game projects. His music has also been featured in commercial collaborations with organizations and brands such as Universal Beijing Resort, Siemens Energy, and M Hotel. He has also worked as an orchestrator on the films Ascendant (2026) and Keep the Beat (2026).
Harry began studying piano and erhu at an early age and has performed extensively with Chinese traditional orchestras. His background in Chinese traditional music and orchestration allows him to incorporate traditional Chinese instruments and musical language into contemporary scoring and production.
In 2026, Harry was one of the winners of the SIMI Film Fest Film Music Competition.
Harry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Zhejiang University and a Master’s degree in Screen Scoring from the University of Southern California.
