
Isha Asabe is a film composer, orchestrator, and conductor known for blending orchestral storytelling with electronic textures and Indian classical influences. Raised between Pune and Los Angeles, she creates emotionally driven music for film, animation, video games, installations, documentaries, and live performances.
A graduate of the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music with a Master’s degree in Screen Scoring, Isha has collaborated on numerous short films and animation projects with USC School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) and NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She has worked on award-winning short films, animated projects, and two USC video games, building a diverse portfolio across cinematic and interactive media. Her work also includes contributing to the music team for the Best Sports Documentary winner at NYU (2026).
Her music has been recorded by LA’s top studio musicians at renowned studios including United Recording, Evergreen Studios, EastWest Studios, and the Colburn School. Isha has studied closely under leading composers and orchestrators such as Patrick Kirst, Pete Anthony, Bruce Broughton, Lolita Ritmanis, Garry Schyman, and Jeanine Cowen.
Recognised as one of the Top 5 composers in Asia at the European Recording Orchestra — Call for Scores Competition (2025), Isha brings a distinctive, culturally rooted, and emotionally powerful voice to every project.
