Biography

Robert V. Lampkin is a Los Angeles–based film and media composer known for blending orchestral storytelling with a global musical perspective. His work has earned international recognition, with multiple pieces selected as finalists in scoring and composition competitions.

He has contributed music and orchestrations for clients including Lego, Blizzard Entertainment, Ubisoft, Tencent, and Universal Music. His work can be heard across a range of international projects, including A Passage of Silence (dir. Bardia Samia), Meesha (dir. Sumeer Malik), and additional music for the Harry Potter: Magic Caster Wand (Warner Bros.). Outside of his own projects, he also works as an assistant composer at Bleeding Fingers Music, the studio collective founded by Hans Zimmer.

Robert is a member of ASCAP and the Society of Composers & Lyricists, and an alumnus of the Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive and NYU’s Screen Scoring Summer Workshop. In 2025, he attended the Game Developers Conference as a G.A.N.G. Scholar under the mentorship of composer Jason Hayes.

He holds a degree in Marketing and a certificate in Music & Entertainment Business from Kennesaw State University, as well as a Master’s in Screen Scoring from the University of Southern California, where he was awarded the Joe and Alice Harnell Scholar for Screen Scoring.
