Bio
Jonathan Fong is a composer and musician working primarily with film and other media. His work draws from classical, jazz, and contemporary inspirations to create music responsive to his collaborators’ artistic visions.
He has written original music for independent films and student projects, using a variety of styles from contemporary orchestral to funk according to each project’s needs. His music has earned him scholarships and opportunities to work with ensembles such as the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra and Brightwork newmusic.
As a graduate of California State University, Northridge’s Commercial and Media Writing program, Jonathan has studied composition and piano with Professor Benoit Grey, Dr. Liviu Marinescu, and Dr. Tali Tadmor, as well as with Dr. Joe Gilman at American River College in Sacramento.

From 2022-2024, Jonathan was the executive assistant to Michael Lehmann Boddicker, and had the opportunity to help plan and execute events like Synthplex 2022 and the 4th and 5th annual SCL Awards.
